FAbiotics Founder Dr. Huang Song Delivers Invited Talk at the 7th International Probiotics and Prebiotics Scientific Conference
From November 3–4, 2025, the 7th International Scientific Conference on Probiotics and Prebiotics, hosted by the Probiotics, Prebiotics and Health Branch of the Chinese Nutrition Society, was held in Hangzhou. The conference brought together leading global experts and industry representatives in the microbiome field to discuss frontier science, regulatory standards, and the industry future of probiotics, prebiotics, and postbiotics.
Dr. Song Huang, Founder of FABIOTICS, was invited to attend the conference and deliver an invited lecture titled "Gut Microplastic Hazards and Microbial Solutions."

Microplastics—a widely distributed, persistent emerging pollutant—are quietly invading various human organs through air and food and affecting human health. While the long-standing problem of plastic pollution remains unresolved, it has brought new concerns. At the conference, Dr. Huang introduced cutting-edge science in the microplastics field and shared next-generation microbial solutions centered on probiotics.

The FABIOTICS R&D team has devoted years to developing solutions for microplastics in the body. Building on the first-generation "adsorption–excretion" mechanism, the team successfully screened a new-generation human-derived microplastic-excreting probiotic, DePlastoxTM Lactiplantibacillus plantarum PD01, from a "plastic-resistant" population. The strain has been granted a Chinese invention patent.
In the future, Fabiotics will continue to focus on scientific research in the microplastics field—from strain development and in vitro testing to clinical validation—providing solid scientific and technological support and more solutions for microplastic excretion from the body.
